THE FRANCOPHONIE WORLD COMES TO CYPRUS
The Francophonie
The International Organization of the Francophonie was set up in
1970 by a group of Francophone intellectuals with the aim of
implementing political, educational, economic and, of course,
cultural cooperation between its members for the benefit of the
population.
Cyprus has been a member of the OIF since 2006.
Today, the Francophonie has 88 member states spread over 5
continents.
Francophonie Month

March has been designated Francophonie Month.
The aim is to promote the French language
throughout the world, and to promote and share
French-speaking cultures. It is also an opportunity
for the Alliance française of Limassol to step up
its cultural agenda for the 61st consecutive year!
